Parishes Mission Statement
As Members of the St. Bridget and St. Stanislaus Kostka parishes of West Rutland, we reach out to our community through faith, prayer and service, and respond with compassion to the spiritual and corporal needs of all.
About Our Parishes
St. Bridget and St. Stanislaus Kostka churches are nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Green Mountains. Located in the quaint town of West Rutland, Vermont, these churches have served area Catholics for over 150 years. An area once rich in Marble deposits, West Rutland became home to many people of diverse cultures.
These cultures gave rise to the rich histories of St. Bridget and St. Stanislaus Kostka Parishes. We invite you to come and experience our parishes as we join together as one Catholic family in worship of our Father.

Variety Show Coming Soon!
The 6th annual West Rutland Variety Show is coming! This year, the event will raise money for The Mentor Connector, a Rutland-based organization that offers mentoring opportunities for Rutland County youth ages 8 to 18. Be sure to save the date for an afternoon of fun for a good cause. Tickets are available before and after Masses as well as by contacting the parishes office.
Try your luck at winning our “Luck O’the Irish” Gift Basket. This basket includes 4 tickets to see Celtic Thunder at the Paramount Theatre on April 12, 2015 and a wonderful assortment of Celtic home furnishings and Irish foods.
Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. As always, your help is needed in making this fundraiser a success. Envelopes of tickets are available in the St. Bridget church entryway. Please consider taking an envelope of tickets to sell. Tickets may be returned in the envelope by placing them in the collection basket at Mass. Thank you for your help and support and may the “Luck O’the Irish” be with each of you!
Beginning in March, monthly parishioner activities will be offered. We hope to offer a variety of presentations that will be beneficial and fun for all parishioners.
Our first presentation will be from Pat Miller of Hawley’s Florist. She will be conducting a floral arrangement workshop in St. Bridget Hall on March 12th from 1 pm—3 pm that will allow participants to work on an arrangement for their homes for Easter. As a debut of this program, session materials will be supplied. If you would like to attend please respond below and return the attached sign up in the collection basket. If you have questions, please contact the parish office at 438-2490. We hope to see you there!
