Capuchin Named Administrator of West Rutland & Proctor Parishes
After considerable discussion between the administrations of the Diocese of Burlington and the Capuchin Franciscans of St. Mary Province, it has been decided that the Capuchins will assume the pastoral and administrative responsibilities for the West Rutland and Proctor Catholic Community. Fr. Richard Crawley, OFM Cap. has been named  Administrator of St. Bridget’s, St. Dominic’s, and St. Stanislaus. This is a return to the Rutland area for Fr. Richard, he left Rutland approximately ten years ago after having served in the parishes of St. Alphonsus’, St. Dominic’s, St Peter’s. He will again take up residence at St. Peter’s Friary in Rutland.
Fr. Maurice Moreau, OFM Cap. has been named Guardian of the fraternity in Rutland and will continue his service as pastor of St. Alphonsus, Pittsford, and Our Lady of Good Help, Brandon.
Fr. John Tokaz, OFM Cap. will continue ministering as pastor of St. Peter’s, Rutland, and take on the role of Fraternal Vicar for the friary. These appointments are effective September 1st.
